Qualifications

MB BS FRCR FRACR FAChPM

Scope of practice:

Generalist radiation oncologist with special interest in prostate, breast, gastro-intestinal and head and neck cancers.
Use of sensitising chemotherapy and other agents in combination with radiotherapy.
Palliative Medicine.

Availability:

New patients and old patients with new problems will almost always be seen within five working days.
Urgent patients will almost certainly be seen within two working days and emergencies within 24 hours or less.

I look after inpatients mainly at St John's Hospital but will consult in all Hobart Private Hospitals.

Consulting rooms:
We have recently replaced, increased and upgraded our reception staff and facilities.
We emphasize punctuality and only in exceptional circumstances should you have to wait more than a few minutes to be seen.

Communication:

We have a policy of complete honesty and disclosure to our patients.
Privacy is of great importance, therefore we do not offer telephone consultations or, except in exceptional circumstances do we discuss patients with relatives in person or by telephone except when the patient is present and/or has given written permission.
